Paris Fashion Week: Backstage Highlights
Friday, March 12 | 2010
The Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Paris Fashion Week has drawn to a close, and oh, what a Fashion Week it was. Some trends from the week’s shows included long gloves, accentuated curves, fur, tulle, leather, tough women with feminine touches, a few ruffles, a couple animal prints, a bit of orange, yellow and purple, a lot of black, gray, white and red, and some blue, brown and green thrown in for good measure. Styles ranged from minimalist to ultra glam, and celebrated the feminine figure.
And the hair: most looks featured models with long hair, some natural and soft, some teased and edgy. We saw some throwback ‘60s looks, bouncy ponytails, messy chignons, voluminous buns, sleek ‘dos, and heavily textured and teased big coifs.
William sent us some of the photographs he was able to capture while he helped out backstage with the styling at some of the shows. He told us it was hard to photograph the girls because they were always getting pulled away for clothes and makeup.
Even so, the pictures he did manage to snap are cool. Not as cool as being there ourselves, but still cool. You may also visit STYLE.COM for the complete coverage of the shows.
